Holidays at the Heideggerhof are an experience for the whole family. Surrounded by enchanting vineyards, the farm is inviting in the middle of the gentle hills of the Oltradige. The family atmosphere invites you to relax, the farm life promises surprise and excitement.
Our story
Since 1956 the farm has been managed by the Heidegger family. Apples and grapes are cultivated; characteristic and typical of this southern part of South Tyrol. Due to the mild climate and the many sun, a variety of fruit trees and grape varieties thrive here. On the farm the guest experiences the farmer’s everyday life up close. Cackling chickens romp in the enclosure, hares hop over the meadow and the pony looks cheeky and mischievously under its long mane behind the fence. Alfred likes to introduce his guests to his work as a farmer, explains what vines and apples need all year round and invites you to a glass of house wine. The children are welcome to ride on our pony under our supervision. When the ripe grapes are harvested in autumn, the Heidegger family delivers the majority of the grapes to the Kaltern wineries. However, a small part is annually cellared at the farm and tasted on cozy evenings. This provides a pleasant atmosphere in a cheerful round and can also be the beginning of a one or the other travel team. Immerse yourself in the world of the farm, in the world of wine, which has always given Kaltern a special attribute.
